Junior and Senior High

“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

The Junior and Senior High youth groups seek to develop the next generation of disciples through Bible study, fellowship and community service. We learn about Jesus through interacting with others and our own personal study.

We are an open and welcoming community for youth of all backgrounds to learn more about what it means to serve Christ every day. We are a safe environment where all questions are highly encouraged and everyone is welcome. To that end, we strive to combat bullying and discrimination wherever it is found.

We believe that God is still propelling and filling young people, calling them to sing of a new way to be human, beyond Abercrombie and beyond the same old same old. In Jesus, God has broken into the brokenness of the world and called us to a new way of wholeness, justice, and peace. In the real lives of young people — young people who have been called into life with Jesus — this new way is shouted out and acted out, for the church and for the whole world.

We gather weekly for conversation, community and food, and our meetings are both vibrant and relaxed. We ask good questions and hear great answers. We get serious now and again about life and how we live it. We laugh like crazy and see some good movies. We’ll role play a little, and talk about real life. We play together and do our best to practice patience, love and humility with one another. All middle and high school kids are welcome.

Confirmation (Junior High) meets on Monday evenings at 4:00-6:00 in the youth room.
