Children and Family

Support for our children and families begins when children are born.  We believe that children are not merely the future of the church but active participants in the church body at every age. To this end we have placed symbols throughout our bulletin to help guide children and youth through our service. We also provide Busy Bags in the Narthex which contain objects which can be used to help facilitate their worship experience. A staffed Nursery is available on Sunday mornings from 9:00 through 11:30.

P-K through 5th grade:  Children, pre-K through 5th grade enjoy Sunday School at 9:15 in the Fellowship Hall. In Sunday School, the students will enjoy time to explore a Bible story through crafts, games, or skits. Sunday school runs from September 9th- June 2nd.

Junior High: 6th through 8th grade students are encouraged to attend Confirmation on Monday evenings in the youth room from 4:00-5:30. Following these years of Confirmation instruction (Old Testament, New Testament and Lutheran Living) students will be invited to confirm their faith. Junior High runs from August 27th- June 3rd.

Senior High: 9th through 12th grade students attend Senior High Youth Group on Monday evenings in the youth room from 5:30-7:00. They will engage in discussions revolving around the Bible, their everyday lives and the future of the Christian faith. Senior High runs from August 27th-June 3rd.

Both the Junior and Senior High are encouraged to actively participate in the worship services on Sunday mornings. The students can choose to serve as greeters, lectors (readers), Communion assistants, Children’s Message readers and more! Following our late Sunday worship service the Junior and Senior High gather along with any adults who wish to join, in a discussion of the day’s readings and a light lunch.
